CONTENTS In Japan, social services for women victims of sexual abuse are poor, and public consciousness is low, making it difficult for victims to find a way to improve their situation. The Asian Women's Fund opened a telephone hotline for 3 days and asked victims to speak about their experiences. This is a report of this telephone hot line.

CONTENTS The Asian Women's Fund held mental care seminars in two locations in February 1999 (20-23 February in Tokyo and 26 February - 1 March in Osaka).
